Rev. William “Bill” Monroe Bailey, age 81, widower of Loretta Coker Bailey, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at his home.
He was born on November 5, 1942 in Clinton, South Carolina and was the son of the late Wallace M. Bailey and Irene Eniz Bailey. He was Pastor of Glory Bound Ministries for over 10 Years and was a member of the Enoree Church of God. He was self-employed as a contract painter, he loved to plunder and tinker, he loved being with his family, and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Bailey (Stacy), Dennis Bailey (Shari), Walter Bailey (Crystal), Jimmy Bailey (Debra), Joe Bailey (Arlene); his daughter, Renee; seventeen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife of 60 years, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Bailey and his sisters, Ruby Smith and Doris Estes, and his grandson, Dalton Bailey.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton at 11:00 AM with Rev. Deryk Morgan and Rev. Michael Shirley officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday Evening June 2, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
His grandson’s will serve as pallbearers, James Bailey, Braydon Bailey, Dillon Bailey, Taylor Bailey, Bryce Bailey, Justin Bailey, Joshua Bailey, Zachary Smith, Jonah Bailey, Johnathan Bailey, and Jacob Bailey.
The family will be at the home of his son, 200 Collins Street, Laurens, SC 29360.
