William "Butch" Lewis Glenn Jr.

William "Butch" Lewis Glenn, Jr., age 73, of Newberry, SC, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023, at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born October 16, 1949 in Whitmire, SC, he was a son of the late William Lewis Glenn Sr. and Lucy Johnson Mathis. Butch enjoyed playing cards, checkers, and working crossword puzzles. He had a kind spirit and was loved by all that knew him.
Butch was a member of the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He is survived by his sister, Verona Wilbanks; his niece and nephews, Kelsey Wilbanks (Kyle Crompton), Toby Wilbanks, and Jacob Robertson (Blakelee); and his great nieces and nephew, Brayanna Brooks, Jayda Crompton, Kensleigh Crompton, and Jettson Robertson.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, February 11th at 1:00 PM at the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness church.
The family would like to thank the staff of J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home for all the love and care given over the years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Newberry County Disabilities and special needs, 115 Nance Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
Gray Funeral Home of Whitmire is assisting the family with arrangements.
