William P. "Bill" Lewis Sr.

William P. “Bill” Lewis, Sr., age 71, of Chappells, SC, passed away, Friday, February 16, 2024 at his home.
He was born March 17, 1952 in Greenwood, SC, and was a son of the late Clayteen and Betty Marberry Lewis. William earned his bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College and later owned and retired from Lewis Nursery and Farm Inc. He was a respected member of the SC Nursery Association and a dedicated member of Whitmire Presbyterian Church.
William is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Marshall Lewis; his son, William P. Lewis, Jr. (Teri); his sisters, Penny Lewis (Mike Layman), Becky Beacham (Andy Williams), and Lisa Pickett (Bob); and his beloved grandchildren, Thomas and Kate.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Creighton Andrew Lewis.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home of Whitmire. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Whitmire Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Weaver officiating.
