William L. McMurry, Jr., age 83, widower of Mirriam McMurry, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, GA.
He was born in Whitmire, SC and was the son of William L. McMurry, Sr, and Nellie McMurry of Whitmire SC.
He is survived by his two daughters, Crystal Louann Cottrell of Spring TX, and Angela Ham of Harlem, GA; his 5 grandchildren, Crystal Neesmith of Lyons GA, Michael McMurry of Yorktown VA, Brandi Atkins of Columbus GA, Ryan Dague of Grovetown, GA and Hannah Dague of Grovetown, GA; as well as his seven great-grandchildren; Harley Neesmith, Hayleigh Atkins, Brianna Atkins, Alayna Atkins, Aubrie Atkins, Maddox McMurry, and Banks McMurry.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his daughter, Teresa Watson of Twin City, GA, and his brother Charles McMurry of Whitmire SC.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2 PM at Gray Funeral Home, 445 S Church St, Whitmire, SC 29178.
