William Buford Noffz

William Buford Noffz, age 81, of 444 Lakeview Dr. died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the National Healthcare of Mauldin.
He was born in Laurens and was a son of the late Willis Buford and Mattie Lou Walker Noffz. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joanne Noffz and Mrs. Billie Owings (Margaret).
Mr. Noffz was retired from Milliken, was a member and Past Master of Palmetto Lodge #19. He was Past President of the Laurens Shrine Club where he served over 40 years and was a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple of Mauldin. He served on the Laurens City Council; was a member of the Jaycees and served in the National Guard.
Mr. Noffz is survived by two sons, Mike Noffz of Simpsonville and Tim Noffz of Laurens; two daughters, Leigh Greene of Simpsonville and Mandy Noffz of Laurens, seven grandchildren, Matthew Burton, Brooke Greene, Cameron Noffz, Mattie Grace Noffz, Audrey Noffz ,Jessica Burton and Josh Burton and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 28th at 11:00 a.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens by Rev. J. B. Abercrombie. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 to 11 am at the Funeral Home before the service. Interment will be in Westview Memorial Park with full Masonic Rites.
