William Randall "Big Randy" Owens Sr.

William Randall “Big Randy” Owens, Sr., age 71, of Whitmire, SC, husband of Donna Davis Owens, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
He was born December 24, 1951 in Whitmire, SC and was a son of the late Major Allen and Lillian Oxner Owens. He was formerly employed with J.P. Stevens; after his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and welding. Big Randy will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, he was always willing to help anyone.
Mr. Owens was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepsons, Kenneth Blake Sizemore, Randy Lynn Sizemore, and Michael Ray Sizemore (Jennifer); his stepdaughter, Rosemarie Plaza; his brothers, Boyd Owens (Karon), and Ray Owens (Myra); his sister, Elaine O. Gault; his six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Owens; and his son, William Randall Owens, Jr.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Weaver and Rev. Walter Parham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 2023 from 6-8 PM at the church.
