William Anthony Patterson, age 88, the widower of Martha Pearson Simpson Patterson, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Lanford and was a son of the late John Talmadge and Irene Langston Patterson.
Mr. Patterson was owner and operator of Patterson Vermiculite Company and his passion and love was farming. He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He is survived by his daughters, Bess Patterson Caldwell and husband, Tim of Lanford and Martha Ann Arant and husband Jake of Chappells; his son, Edgar Randall Simpson and wife, Pam of Lanford; his brother, T.M. (Mel) Patterson and wife, Vivian of Lanford; his grandchildren, Timothy Caldwell, Travis Simpson, Leigh Ann Simpson, Jon-Michael Davis and wife, Summer and Andrea D. Parsons and husband Shannon; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Richard Simpson and his brother, Edwin Patterson.
Cryptside services will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at 4:00PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
