William Albert (Bill) Burns, age 68 of 2886 Hwy. 221 S. died Tuesday, March 27th at his home.
He was born in Laurens and was a son of the late Lester Jack Burns, Sr. and Maude Ellen Williams Burns.
He was a member of the Masons, Shriners and Sons of the Confederacy and was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He worked at several mills and retired from the County of Laurens.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Pauline Adams Burns of the home, one daughter, Judy Burns Crane and husband, Thomas Lee Crane, granddaughters, Candice and Tiffany Crane and grandson, William Anthony (Tony) Burns and wife, Elizabeth, great-granddaughter, Taylor Paige Burns and great-grandsons, Calem Shane Burns and Nicholas Matthew Burns.
He was predeceased by two daughters, Linda Marie Burns and Kathleen Gail Burns.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, March 30th at New Prospect Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m. by Rev. John Huckabee.
The family will receive friends at the Church Fellowship Hall on Friday before the service from 5 to 6 p.m.
