William "Billy" Nelson

William “Billy” Nelson, age 76, of 7 Peachtree St. died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Cross Anchor and was the son of the late Odie James and Edna Louise Pace Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was retired from Greenwood Mills and was a sports enthusiast.
Surviving are one son, Kerry Nelson of Clear Water, FL; two daughters, Cindy Johnisee of Clinton, and Kim Peurifoy of Charleston, SC; one brother, Jim Nelson of Clinton; and one sister, Dorothy Carrol of Clinton. Surviving also are eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church. Rev Roland Drye will officiate.
