William Cody Coates

Cody Coates, age 18, of 121 Woodview Dr. died June 4, 2010 due to an auto accident.
He was born in Greenwood and was the son of Charles William and Christy Curry Coates of the home.
Cody was a graduate of Laurens District 55 High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He was also a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church and was an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a sister, Curry Coates of Laurens; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Albert Curry of Laurens; paternal grandmother, Drucilla Coates of Laurens. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Charles W. (Pee Wee) Coates, Sr.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at their home.
