William (Dee) Godfrey, age 77, of 107 Reeder St. died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at his home.
He was born in Joanna and was the son of the late Clarence E. and Ruth Cleland Godfrey.
Mr. Godfrey was retired from Greenwood Mills and was of the Baptist faith and was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Dennis Godfrey of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Betti Stroud of Columbia and Andi and George Grant of Clinton; a sister, Margaret Randall of Pensacola, FL; two grandchildren, Ami Vaughn and Mills Grant; three great grandchildren and also his River Valley Campground Family.
He was predeceased by a brother, Roland Godfrey.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at their home.
