William Jay Douglas

William Jay Douglas, age 87, formerly of 1047 Simmons Road, Gray Court died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in the NHC of Laurens.
He was born in Greenwood and was the son of the late Fowler and Frances Johnson Douglas.
Mr. Douglas was a former employee of Clinton Mills, was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church and was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Jean Smullen of Laurens, Sandra Jones of Waterloo and Fay Ginn of Cross Hill; a son, William S. Douglas of Gray Court; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Leona O. Douglas.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Military honors.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
