William Jeffery Wheeler, age 50, of 214 Duncan Creek Church Rd. died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Laurens County and was the son of Mona Sanders Wheeler of Laurens and the late William Franklin Wheeler.
Mr. Wheeler was an employee of Inman Mills and was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila McGee Wheeler of the home; two sons, David Scott Crain of Greenwood and James Matthew Hatfield of Clinton; a granddaughter raised in the home, Kinslee Ginn; a special friend and brother, Ronald Marino of Laurens; sisters-in-law, Tammy Polson and husband, Ricky, Sr. of Clinton, Sherry McGee of Clinton and Tonie Campbell and husband, Chris of Laurens; aunt and uncle, William and Betty Craine of Laurens; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Isabell McGee of Clinton; grandchildren, Cameron Hatfield, Braylynn Crain, Hunter Hatfield, Blake Hatfield and Dalton Lambert.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shyann Makenzie Crain.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the St. James United Methodist Church in Laurens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
