William Luther Young

Dateline-Kinards, SC

William Luther Young, age 89, of 2476 Bush River Rd., passed away Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 at Hospice of Laurens County.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late Luther and Blanche Moore Young.
Mr. Young was a Director with Laurens County Farm Bureau; former member of the Laurens County FSA (Farmer Security Administration) Committee; member of the Bush River Young Farmers and a member of Bush River Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances Hollingsworth Young; two sons, Billy Young and wife, Beth, of Spartanburg, Robert Young and wife, Karen, of Kinards; Grandchildren, Tal and Mary Beth Young of Spartanburg, Karley and Rachel Young of Kinards and one sister, Carolyn Y. Young of Sparta, NC.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Martha Y. Fowler and a brother, Henry M. Young.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Aug. 3rd at 3:00 p.m. at Bush River Baptist Church by Rev. Marion Ringer and Rev. Brian Preston with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday before the service in the church fellowship hall beginning at 1:45 p.m.
