William R. Smith
William R. Smith, 81, passed away Saturday March 24, 2012 at the National Healthcare of Clinton.
He was born in Lenior County, N.C. and was a son of the late W.H. and Marie Smith.
Mr. Smith was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving as a member of the Air Borne Division.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Overstreet of Simpsonville, S.C., four children, Jennifer Johnson and husband, Terry of Laurens, Nona Campsono of Florida, Jamie Lazenby of Florida, Tony Deal of Virginia, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Mar. 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the M. J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.
