Willie Evelyn Chandler Beaty, age 89, and widow of Oren F. Beaty, died Monday, November 21, 2005 at Bailey Manor in Clinton.
She was born in Williamsburg County, and was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Nettie Jones Chandler.
She was a homemaker and for 16 years was a Blue Lady at Presbyterian College Dining Hall; she was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton; the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sun Bonnet Garden Club.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, George I. Beaty, David R. and Elizabeth Beaty, Stephen C. Beaty, Wayne Thomas and Kathy Beaty all of Clinton, Michal V. and Claudia Beaty of Raleigh, NC and Timothy A. Beaty of Gaffney; one sister, Toni Chandler Davis, ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Rev. Roland Chandler and a sister, Winnie C. Allen.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Greg Hellams and Dr. Blake Harwell with interment in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home in Clinton.
