Wilma Katherine Byrd

Wilma Katherine Byrd, age 75, widow of Richard O. Byrd, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 5, 1946 in Newberry, SC and was the youngest daughter of Bill and Mary Williamson. She was a 1964 Graduate of Whitmire High School. Mrs. Byrd was a much loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend of many people special to her.
She is survived by her son, Neal Byrd (Stephanie) of Ridgeway, SC; her sisters, Iva Williamson of Augusta, GA, Terry Henson of Higdon, AL; grandchildren, Scarlett and Rhiannon Byrd; and her two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her sister, Amanda W. Brown.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the Beth Eden Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the cemetery from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.
Memorials may be made in the form of flowers or to the charity of one's choice.
The family will be at her home, 203 Gary Street, Whitmire, SC 29178.
