Wright M. Simpson

Wright M. Simpson, age 72, of 603 S. Broad St., died Monday, January 8, 2007 in Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late George Robert Simpson, Sr. and Banna Nabors Simpson.
He retired with 31 years from Clinton Police Department; 10 years with Anchor Bank and 30 years with Presbyterian Home. He was a member of the Joanna Lions Club and Hurricane Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Graham Simpson of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Otis and Jeannie Simpson of Enoree; one brother, George Robert Simpson, Jr. of Clinton and three grandchildren, Mallory Gene Simpson, Nolan Wright Simpson and Maura Frances Simpson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Hurricane Baptist Church by Rev. Greg Hellams with burial in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
